- So one of the most popular questions we get asked is, "How do I grow my hair faster?"
- A big question.
- It's huge.
- Everyone asks that. Even when I had a health food store, I got asked that all the time. So you know how to get your hair to grow faster?
- Yes.
- How do you do it?
- Me, personally, for me, it's about, I make sure my hormone conversions are correct,
- Yep.
- nutrients, so making sure that I'm pursuing a well-balanced nutritional regime.
- Any particular nutrients in that that you look for?
- Personally, it's a wide balance.
- Okay.
- So it is making sure that I'm getting a lot of the good stuff and a wide variety of it.
- Okay.
- And, obviously, I'm human. I'm gonna have the bad stuff, but making sure that I am more so good than bad.
- Okay. So a variety of food?
- Yeah, a variety of foods,
- Healthy foods.
- Healthy foods.
- Okay.
- So, obviously, your vegetables, your fruits, good meats, and things like that.
- Okay.
- Another huge one for me is also stress.
- Right.
- So, stress as far as cortisol levels, even stress as far as training, making sure that I am in control--
- Okay.
- of my emotions, and how I'm dealing with them.
- So is it, were you in the past struggling to get your hair to grow faster?
- Yeah, yeah.
- So you did these changes, and your hair-- started growing faster?--
- Yeah, yeah.
- Okay, all right. So we've got getting a nice balanced diet. We have reducing stress levels as well.
- Massively, yeah.
- Okay, excellent.
- Yeah, massively.
- What about you?
- Well, with me, no. Never really noticed, but I did have health food stores. And we got asked that question all the time. And, so, there were different things that we would suggest.
- By males and females, or--
- Yeah.
- With females, it was typically to grow faster.
- Okay.
- With males, it was male pattern baldness. I suppose I can touch on that a little bit.
- Yeah, yeah.
- But just to grow hair faster, they would come in and we would suggest minerals like silica which makes up your hair, as well as biotin, as well.
- Okay.
- And I know that you used a few products at "Fat Burners Only" that helped a lot.
- Yeah.
- What were they?
- So I used the Multi Food by ATP Science.
- That's amazing for hair growth.
- Yeah, amazing. I actually notice such a difference when I'm not on that.
- Okay.
- And, also, Alpha Venus. So just helping to correct hormonal imbalances.
- So they're both ATP Science?
- They're both ATP Science, yeah.
- Now, does it also make your nails grow?
- Yeah, oh, nails and also my skin, as well, massively.
- Right, okay.
- Yeah.
- So we used it for the hair growth?
- Yeah.
- But your skin gets better, and your nails get harder--
- Yeah.
- and they grow?
- Yeah, yep, yeah.
- Okay, cool.
- Yeah.
- Well, with, and, also, like I mentioned silica and biotin help. And so that's what we would suggest as well as increasing blood flow. So lightly massaging your scalp in the shower when you're shampooing and conditioning--
- Okay.
- So you get more blood flow to those follicles--
- Yeah.
- which will allow more of the nutrients to get to the follicles. And the hair will grow faster as well. For male pattern baldness, however, you're looking at some medications which, obviously, you need to go to a doctor to get a prescription. But it's all about reducing the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. 'Cause in a male and in some females that will cause baldness.
- Yeah.
- So that's a different kettle of fish. But the enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to dihydrotestosterone which is the bad testosterone that causes baldness is 5-alpha-reductase. So if you can get that enzyme and get rid of it or stop it's production, then you will help stop and even reverse balding in some cases. And the drugs for that, like I said, you need to go to the doctor. You're looking at Dutasteride and Finasteride and they're oral. And then Minoxidil which is topical. So Minoxidil will increase blood flow and blood vessels to the hair follicle. And the other two, ingested, orals with stop that 5-alpha-reductase.
- What about that enzyme though, so how can we, also, naturally, I guess, combat that enzyme from getting the testosterone to the dyH2, the bad testosterone? Testosterone that causes the baldness?
- Yeah.
- Well, if you don't wanna go down those three drug routes, you can go for saw palmetto.
- Oh, okay.
- So it's all natural, it's a grass that produces a berry. And they get the extracts called saw palmetto. And that will also stop that 5-alpha-reductase as well. But it's for a shorter period of time. So you might have to take it once or, or, sorry two or three times a day, spaced out evenly instead of with a drug once a day. But some people, like you said, won't want drugs. So you can do it naturally with saw palmetto. And then, some of the conditioners and shampoos will actually put that ingredient in so it absorbs--
- Oh.
- into the scalp.
- Yes.
- And so, with those shampoos, definitely, to increase that blood flood massage it a lot but it also gets that saw palmetto in which will sweat the the dihydro-T from the site. So, there's another sort of thing. And that shampoo is called Nioxin.
- Okay, all right, Nioxin.
- So, yeah.
- All right, cool.
- Yeah, so that's how to grow the hair faster. Just a bit of a recap.
- Yep.
- Reduce stress.
- Yes.
- Eat a great variety of foods.
- Yes.
- And get into Multi Food and Alpha Venus--
- Yeah.
- 'cause it works for you, but then--
- Massively.
- it's helping with your skin and nails.
- Massively.
- And, then, something that we don't have but silica and biotin help as well. Cool.
- Good, and take your time. Massage your head, take that time to refocus, connect with yourself.
- Don't stress--
- Yeah.
- 'cause that's the worst thing you could do for it. And, then, yep.
- Yeah.
- Fingers crossed that you can get your hair to grow faster.
- Yeah.
- All right, thanks guys.
