L-Glutamine by Athletic Sports

What is L-Glutamine?

Have you added L-Glutamine to your training supplement schedule yet? If not, you are missing out on some serious muscle gains!

Athletic Sport gives a high grade L-Glutamine supplement of 100% purity, and no nasty fillers or additives. The premium, pharmaceutical grade quality we have all grown to know and love from Athletic Sports.

L-Glutamine supports the body in a multitude of ways, yet the key word to remember is- repair! L-Glutamine helps with sports recovery, and reduces soreness significantly.

A good dose of L-Glutamine in your protein, creatine or aminos daily, will prevent muscle wastage. Studies have shown athletes experience an increase in muscle mass and recovery with L-Glutamine supplementation, as less muscle is broken down for energy.

L-Glutamine is great for:

  • Muscle gains
  • Rest and recovery
  • Reducing muscle wastage
  • Gut health
  • Leaky gut issues
  • Immunity

The results of L-Glutamine and athletic support is clear, with numerous studies on muscle preservation and L-Glutamine. A quality L-Glutamine supplement is worth considering if you are training long, hard sessions and seem to feel sore and rundown often. The athlete that experiences every cold and flu that goes around, needs some L-Glutamine in their life!

So how does L-Glutamine work, anyway?

L-Glutamine is a non-essential amino acid that we can consume from foods that we eat. Meat, eggs, dairy, beets and legumes are all high sources of Glutamine. To keep levels of Glutamine optimal in busy people, a supplement may be necessary to meet demands.

The body does store L-Glutamine in the muscles, and releases it into the bloodstream when under stress like exercise. This explains why levels may need to be topped up around training sessions.

A low intake, or depletion of Glutamine in our system can lead to low immunity and difficulty building muscle. This is especially important for active people involved in endurance sports, or longer lifting sessions.

L-Glutamine For A Happy Gut

L-Glutamine has a powerful protectant and repair action in our gut. The most abundant free amino acid in the body, Glutamine is used by the intestines to reduce inflammation, repair cells and boost immunity.

Taking a quality L-Glutamine supplement regularly has been shown to repair muscle cells, yet the importance of protecting the structure of our gut is vital also. A happy gut aids great digestion, the uptake of nutrients, reduces bloating and protects the body from pathogens. You could say, Glutamine to the rescue!

Try adding L-Glutamine into your daily supplements, mixing easily into a pre workout, aminos or protein formula. L-Glutamine by Athletic Sports delivers the mighty muscle gains and immunity needed to go that extra mile, each and every time.
